- Very heavy rainfall, strong winds and high waves have been affecting southern Portugal, causing floods and severe weather-related incidents that resulted in casualties, evacuations and damage.
- Authorities report that one person died in the municipality of Serpa (Beja district, Alentejo region, southeastern Portugal) while hundreds of people have been evacuated in different regions of the country. The total amount of casualties since January 28th is now 11. Moreover, Douro (Douro and Porto regions) Vouga, Águeda (Aveiro region), Mondego (Coimbra region), Lis (Leiria region), Tejo (Medio Tejo, Lezíria do Tejo and Lisbon regions) and Sado (Alentejo Litoral region) Rivers burst its banks, leaving some towns unaccesible.
- The Copernicus Emergency Management Service () was activated on?3?February for Portugal, and 13 products have been published so far.
- For the next?24?hours, heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected across most of Portugal.
