  • An earthquake of 5.8 M at a depth of 124 km occurred in Cianjur Regency (West Java Province) on 8 December at 00.50 UTC (7.50 local time). The epicentre of the earthquake was approximately 9 km north of Cianjur Town.
  • According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), seven people have been displaced, and more than 170 affected.
  • This seismic event occurred 15 km north-east of the 5.6M event of 21 November that resulted in more than 300 fatalities.
