Central Argentina, March 2023Heavy rain caused flooding and damage in areas of central Argentina from 21 March 2023. The municipal government of Villa de Merlo in San Luis Province, declared a state of emergency after a storm caused flooding and damage on 22 March 2023. Roads were cut and telecommunications were interrupted. The Ministry of Social Development of the Province of Córdoba reported damage to homes and infrastructure in Alpa Corral (10 homes damaged), Villa Quillinzo (water treatment plant damaged) and Cañada de Sauce (15 homes damaged).
