  • Heavy rainfall affected north-eastern Oman (in particular the Ash Sharqiyah North Governorate) over the period 14-15 April, causing flash floods and resulting in more casualties and damage.
  • According to media, as of 16 April, at least 17 people died in the Ash Sharqiyah North Governorate. In addition, media also report school closures across Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, Muscat and Ash Sharqiyah North Governorates.
  • Over the next 24 hours, dryer conditions are forecast over north-eastern Oman.
