Severe weather, characterised by dust storms, affected Utah in the central-western United States on 13 May, causing severe weather-related incidents and resulting in casualties and damage.
According to media, as of 14 May, seven people have been seriously injured in a dust-storm-related incident caused by low visibility on a major highway that has been closed in Utah, bordering Idaho.
On 15 May, a clear sky is forecast for Utah; thunderstorms are expected for the eastern and central parts of the state on 16 May and for several states in the central-eastern United States.
