Malaysia, Thailand - Floods (ECHO 28 Nov 2023)

Heavy rainfall has been affecting the Peninsular Malaysia, particularly the Kelantan State, bordering with southern Thailand, and several parts of Thailand, since 20 October causing floods that have resulted in evacuations and damage.
As of 27 November, the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, around 580 people have been displaced in three evacuation centres across Bachok and Pasir Mas Districts, in northern Kelantan State, northern Malaysia.
According to the same source, in southern Thailand, approximately 21,255 people have been affected by floods and flash floods, among them 9, 245 in Muang Pattani and Nong Chik Districts in northern Pattani Province.
Over the next 48 hours, very heavy rainfall is forecast over the whole Peninsular Malaysia.
