Event. A magnitude-5.5 earthquake occurred in the Gulf of Eden at 05:44 EAT June 14. The epicenter was about 184 km (114 miles) north-northwest of Bosaso, Somalia. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout southern Yemen and northeastern Somalia.
