- A new tropical cyclone named FIVE-E formed over the Eastern North Pacific Ocean on 16 June and started moving northwestward over the Ocean as a tropical depression, strengthening to tropical storm on 17 June and developing to hurricane on 18 June according to forecasts. On 17 June at 3.00 UTC, its centre was located offshore approximately 350 km south of the coast of Tapachula city in the state of Chapas in southern Mexico, with maximum sustained winds of 56 km/h.
- FIVE-E is forecast to continue northwestward over the Ocean, strengthening, along the coast of southern and western Mexico, and to make landfall in the night between the 19 and 20 June with maximum sustained winds of 148 km/h (hurricane cat.1).
- A hurricane watch has been issued from Bahia De Huatulco to Punta Maldonado and tropical storm watches from Salina Cruz to Bahia De Huatulco between Oaxaca and Guerrero states.
- Over the next 72 hours, heavy rainfall, strong winds and storm surges are forecast over coastal areas of south-western Mexico.

- Tropical cyclone ERICK continues to move northwest over the eastern North Pacific Ocean and is rapid strengthening. As of 18 June at 06:00 UTC, its centre was located offshore, approximately 320 km south-southeast of Puerto Ángel, Oaxaca, with maximum sustained winds of 95 km/h (tropical storm strength).
- ERICK is forecast to continue northwest, making landfall along the southern coast of Mexico, between the states of Oaxaca and Guerrero, on 19 June as hurricane. Afterward, it is expected to move inland, crossing southern Mexico.
- On 18-19 June, heavy rainfall, strong winds, and storm surge are expected across the states of Oaxaca, Guerrero, Chiapas, Michoacán, Colima, and Jalisco.
- A Hurricane Warning is currently in effect from Acapulco (Guerrero) to Puerto Ángel (Oaxaca).

- Hurricane ERICK is approaching the coast of Oaxaca as a Category 4 hurricane. As of 19 June at 06:00 UTC, its center was located approximately 110 km west-southwest of Puerto Ángel, Oaxaca State, with maximum sustained winds of 230 km/h.
- ERICK is expected to make landfall between the states of Oaxaca and Guerrero on the morning of 19 June. It is then expected to continue inland over southern Mexico during the evening of 19 June. After landfall, ERICK is forecast to rapidly weaken over the mountainous terrain of Mexico and is likely to dissipate between 19 and 20 June.
- Between 19 and 20 June, very heavy to heavy rainfall, strong winds, and storm surges are expected across the states of Oaxaca, Guerrero, Chiapas, Michoacán, Colima, and Jalisco.
- A hurricane warning remains in effect from Acapulco (Guerrero) to Puerto Ángel (Oaxaca).

- Hurricane ERICK made landfall between the coast of Oaxaca and Guerrero states, east of Punta Maldonado in Oaxaca state, as a Category 3 hurricane on 19 June around 11.30 UTC. As of 20 June at 06:00 UTC, its centre was located approximately 160 km north-west of Acapulco and 35 km south-west of Ciudad Altamirano, in Guerrero state, with maximum sustained winds of 46 km/h (tropical depression). ERICK is weakening over Mexico and is expected to dissipate on 20 June.
- According to media, as of 20 June, one child died, and at least 123,000 people have been affected by power outages, several damaged buildings, landslides, and flooded roads have been reported due ERICK's passage.
- The Copernicus Emergency Management Service was activated on 19 June to give an initial rough estimation of flood extent and damage assessment.
- On 20-21 June, heavy rainfall is still forecast over southwestern Mexico.
