Luwu and North Luwu Regencies, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, July 2020Severe flash flooding hit Luwu and North Luwu Regencies, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia from 09 July. On 09 July, floods in Luwu Regency damaged homes and affected 2,970 families. Flooding was reported in the districts of Larompong, South Larompong, Suli, Bua, West Suli and Ponrang. Flooding then struck North Luwu Regency on 13 July 2020, affecting the districts of Masamba, Sabbang, Baebunta, South Baebunta, Malangke and West Malangke. As of 16 July, there were 21 fatalities, 23 missing, almost 16,000 people affected and 2,650 evacuated.
