Balochistan and Sindh Provinces, Pakistan, August 2020Heavy rainfall from 07 August caused flash and urban flooding, landslides and increased river levels in Balochistan and Sindh Provinces. National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported 8 fatalities in Balochistan. Flooding and landslides blocked several roads and destroyed over 140 homes. Urban flooding affected cities in Sindh Province, including Karachi. Heavy rainfall in Balochistan made its way downstream along the Nai Gaj river, causing damage to the Nai Gaj dam which resulted in widespread flooding in Dadu District, Sindh Province, on 08 August.
