Himachal Pradesh, India, Late July 2021At least nine people were killed and three injured in a landslide on the Sangla-Chitkul road in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur district on 25 July 2021. Heavy rainfall triggered multiple landslides in the region media said, quoting local officials. The landslide caused boulders to fall from surrounding slopes, crushing vehicles on the road below. Further heavy rain caused flash floods in the state. NERC said a cloudburst late on 27 July triggered flash flooding in the district of Lahaul and Spiti.
