Malaysia, January 2022Further heavy rain fell in Malaysia in early January 2022 affecting Sabah Johor, Pahang, Melaka, Terengganu and Negeri Sembilan in particular. On 02 January NADMA said that 14,459 people were taking shelter at 191 evacuation centres. This event follows the severe flooding in the country in the seond parts of December 2021. Combining figures for the December and January floods, NADMA reported on 02 January that a total of 125,490 people had been displaced but 117,700 had already returned home. Fifty fatalities were reported (25 in Selangor, 21 in Pahang and 4 in Kelantan) and two were missing.Mon 3 Jan 2022FloodList provided by Copernicus GLOFAS
