Oklahoma and Arkansas, USA, Early May 2022Dozens of people were rescued or evacuated after parts of eastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas saw very heavy rainfall and flooding overnight from 04 May 2022. Oklahoma Flash floods affected Okmulgee County after overnight storms 04 to 05 May 2022. Okmulgee emergency management reported 35 water rescues. Arkansas Benton County first-responders dealt with closed roads and one swift-water rescue, 17 vehicles in flood water. The county closed 57 roads. Washington County, first responders conducted two large-scale water rescue operations, one in Fayetteville, where emergency teams evacuated around 60 people people from a flooded apartment complex, and one in Johnson where the Fire Department said between 30 and 40 people were picked up by rescue boats after their homes floodedFri 6 May 2022FloodList provided by Copernicus GLOFAS
