Hungary and Romania, Late May 2022Storms caused wind damage and minor flooding in Hungary and Romania from 25 May 2022. Romania's General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) said effects were registered in 15 localities from 5 counties (Arge?, Cara?-Severin, Cluj, Mure? and Timi?) where firefighters were called to remove water from 25 yards or gardens. Wind caused damage to 11 buildings and downed 32 trees. In Hungary, the Ministry of Interior reported wind damages in the counties of Somogy, Baranya and Bács-Kiskun, and some minor flooding in Kaposvár.
